Ledger confirmed an implant, and Coldcard is asking how a fake link landed on X

Cardano Daily
The day away from Cardano and Bitcoin was not about price. It was about who holds the keys, and who is asking you for them.
Ledger and a fake page
Cointelegraph writes that Ledger confirmed an unauthorized hardware implant in a device belonging to one affected buyer. The company ties the case to one reseller and the Southeast Asian market. The headline leaves open the chance that losses pass $86 million. That is a ceiling which, according to that piece, Ledger has not itself confirmed as a final total.
The same morning, crypto.news reports a warning that a fake Ledger page and app, asking for the recovery phrase, showed up in Google results. The researcher they quote, Cyber Scrilla, flagged it the day before. That piece has no evidence that the fake page is the same case as the implant at the reseller. The two stories share a company name and the same weekend, not necessarily the same cause.
Coldcard
On Sunday Coldcard said a phishing link appeared on the official X account, even though they have used offline two factor login since 2017 and keep the circle of people with access small. The request to users is not to open the link. They are running their own inquiry into how the post went out at all, along with a request to X. The official site is still coldcard.com.
A fund, miners, banks, XRP
Bitwise confirmed that its Dogecoin ETF stops trading on 14 October, and that the money is paid out to shareholders after that. CoinGlass, according to crypto.news, records about $57.2 million of net outflows from the spot market over seven days. On 11 October DOGE was near $0.085, about 9 percent lower on the week.
Russia, by decree 1300 of 6 October, placed new and unfinished miner connections in the fourth reliability category. That is a connection which may be cut when power is needed somewhere else. It does not by itself shut existing farms. It applies to new requests and to ones the grid has not finished.
In Argentina, Juan Curutchet of the central bank told a payments-chamber gathering that nothing will change this year in banks and payment channels around crypto, and that he sees a shift only as a possibility in Milei's second term. The 2022 ban stays in place.
On the XRP Ledger, Veria Labs described a bug which, in their view, could have created about 18 trillion XRP in a single payment. The report arrived on 22 September, the patch three days later, and it became public on 9 October. RippleX confirmed that no unauthorized XRP was created, that no funds were lost, and that there is no sign of abuse on the public networks.
