Lace 2.4.0 shows raw transaction data, and DUST from cNIGHT arrives shortly after

Cardano Daily
Lace 2.4.0 gives Midnight users a preview of raw transaction data before sending. Essential Cardano's weekly of 16 October notes in the release notes that “DUST generation from Cardano accounts holding cNIGHT” comes “shortly after 2.4.0”, with no date. That is the day's most concrete Midnight line; “[ANN] soon” is still undisclosed.
The working price of NIGHT at 14:07 is 0.1920 ADA, about $0.0445: SongMarketCap 0.192010 ADA / $0.044451, DexHunter 0.191261 ADA. About plus 1.56 percent in the ADA pair, about plus 6.2 percent in dollars versus yesterday. Market value on SongMarketCap about $693.9 million, on GeckoTerminal about $730.2 million — A≠B.
DUST, roadmap and SPOs
NIGHT is an unshielded native and governance token with a total supply of 24 billion. DUST is a shielded, non-transferable fee resource that is spent; it can be delegated but not transferred. Generating DUST directly from Cardano accounts would link CNT holdings to Midnight usage — that is an interpretation, not a date. The roadmap for Q4 2026 foreshadows block-production rewards and the start of an Aura→BABE migration, and for Q1 2027 NIGHT staking and block production for Cardano SPOs. Reward amounts are not confirmed as of 16 October.
Sentiment
SPOs are positive about the Q1 2027 plan, not about Lace. ISPF_Cardano calls it “a new revenue opportunity for Cardano SPOs”. There is no SPO reaction on DUST/cNIGHT in the sample. Users are mostly positive, with hype: nobodytosumbody writes “Hold NIGHT – Generate DUST”. Bruvargas28 is critical: “no native way for holders to stake NIGHT”. Hoskinson on 16 October recommends Nightstream to Aztec.
