Nightmode extends privacy to BTC/ETH/SOL/Tron; Hoskinson: “Welcome to Midnight, Tron”

Cardano Daily
@MidnightNtwrk on 20 October unveils Nightmode: Midnight's shielded privacy and selective disclosure extend to public chains (BTC, ETH, SOL, Tron) with Sig Network. Assets lock in an MPC vault on the home chain; the user receives a shielded balance. Vault operators and the threshold are unpublished. Mainnet is tied to ledger v9 “later this year”, with no date. Tron is targeted for December 2026 per Sig Network CEO David Millar-Durrant — Nightmode mainnet is not confirmed as of 21 Oct 2026.

SPOs are neutral-positive (@AichiStakePool explains the mechanism); users are mixed — @Lucasdb86 sees “real volume”, @Drater46154 writes “work with a scammer”, @morphieCNFT asks whether Tron users need NIGHT for DUST.
NIGHT at 14:08 stands at 0.179943 ADA / $0.040576 on SongMarketCap (+0.38 percent over 24 h; 7 d −4.77 percent); DexHunter 0.179472 ADA. The working price is 0.1799 ADA ≈ $0.0406. Market cap $633.8 million (SMC) / $674.6 million (GeckoTerminal) — A≠B. 24 h volume: 1.77M ADA (API) / 401.2K (hub) — A≠B.
