Node 11.2.0 shipped as a pre-release, and EMURGO and Yoroi deregister their DReps on 30 November

Daily on Cardano
The tag yesterday's desk was still looking for exists today, but not as a mainnet release. cardano-node 11.2.0 was published on 28 October at 13:53 Central European time. The tag has existed since 27 October at 21:42. The release carries a note that it is not yet recommended for mainnet. DijkstraNet will fork on it. Sign-off for TSC, PC, SRE, and Release is green. The known-issues section is still empty, marked TODO.
What is in the pre-release
The release brings a config envelope and the commands config migrate, schema, and resolve. Older nodes cannot read the configs that ship with it. It also brings gRPC over HTTP/2 with TLS, for ReadMempool, WatchMempool, and ReadEraSummary. NtC below V23 is removed, and snapshots run every 40 times k slots. Dijkstra support includes cli subtx and guard, a submit-api for Dijkstra transactions, and the CIP-0168 cost model. The foundations for Leios and Peras are in the code, off by default. Dijkstra is the next ledger era. A nested transaction is batching in the ledger, under the name subtx.
The merged requests that travel with it: node 6741, on 28 October at 03:30; ledger 6228 at 06:21, 6221 at 13:36, and 6209 LEIOSCERT from 27 October at 16:54; consensus 2440 from 27 October at 15:35 and Plutus 8018 from 28 October at 00:49. On 27 October the hard-fork working group said 11.2 would arrive that day or the next, and that DijkstraNet forks on it with the full Dijkstra scope, without Leios. Pool operators must upgrade before the hard fork. Some 11.2.x will be the mainnet-ready build, not necessarily this pre-release. Node 11.3 is at least two weeks away, realistically three to four, and it includes CIP-23. Cost models for Plutus V4 go out as a parameter action before the hard fork. A hard fork on mainnet is not confirmed as of 28 October 2026. Koios still reports protocol 11.0.
The Mithril review of 28 October notes work on the upgrade to node 11.2, request 3585, the IPFS rollout 3607, Kubo 3625, the mithril-setup crate 3616, and audits M1.1 and M1.2, requests 3635 and 3646. Mithril's unstable pre-release came out on 27 October at 17:06. Leios rc-2026w43 from 26 October remains the latest release. On 28 October at 12:57 main has commits on protocol status. There is no new release since 26 October. Musashi is live. It is integrating against an 11.3 prototype, and SanchoNet follows. DijkstraNet has been running on 11.1.3 and protocol 11 since the restart on 21 October and will fork to 11.2. A risk log is being kept. The London workshop is on 12 and 13 November at the Marriott in Canary Wharf. The group is funded through the TSC budget template.
No explicit pool-operator reaction to the 13:53 pre-release itself was found by about 14:40. Earlier, at 13:57 on 27 October, @TeragoneFactory praises operators who test Mithril and Leios, often with limited resources. At 11:23 on 27 October, before the tag, @Lucasdb86 wrote that he would rather the release slip than ship with a bug. At 23:23 on 27 October @ISPF_Cardano posted in Japanese about the Dijkstra testnet. Other releases with no new tag since 27 October: cardano-cli 11.6.0.0, Dingo v0.89.0, Daedalus 11.6.0, and Hydra 2.4.2. Peras, an intra-era inside Dijkstra, last has a weekly on 23 October. Weekly 135 is unpublished. Fluid, PRIME, Orion, IBC, and Reeve are unchanged since 24 October.

EMURGO and Yoroi deregister their DReps
EMURGO announced that the EMURGO and @YoroiWallet DReps will be formally deregistered on 30 November 2026. The post is @emurgo_io, on 28 October at 05:27. SongMarketCap writes that the date can move in exceptional circumstances. The intention was announced on 3 August after the SecondFi wallet security incident, along with a resignation from the Intersect board.
According to SongMarketCap, using Koios for epoch 664, the Yoroi DRep holds about 401.3 million ADA from 15,174 delegators, and the EMURGO DRep about 212.2 million ADA from 815 delegators. Together that is 613.4 million ADA, about 12.1 percent of 5.09 billion ADA at active DReps. The figures were not independently verified on this pass. Without a delegation to a registered DRep, or a vote of Abstain or No Confidence, rewards cannot be withdrawn, although they still accrue. CIP-181 in Dijkstra removes that condition, but it is not on mainnet yet.
At 09:27 today @Straightpool4, himself a DRep, writes that this is a good chance to decentralize the vote-stake distribution further. At 08:35 @BBHMM_Stake writes that a new DRep is needed before 30 November and that it is a good time to move both. At 10:46 @SIPO_Tokyo advises comparing votes on gov.tools. At 13:35 @Lucasdb86 sums up the same point: about 613 million ADA, about 12 percent, and the ADA itself stays safe.
The 2027 budget, the votes, and the treasury
Intersect, the Cardano Foundation, and IOG published a proposal for the 2027 budget process, under the title A More Strategic 2027 Cardano Budget. Seven domains have stewards. Intersect runs Core Dev and Maint, Applied Research, and Gov Coordination. PRAGMA runs Dev Support. The Cardano Foundation runs Marketing, Analysis and Events, and Adoption and Growth. Open Contributions has no steward. The process has three phases. October consultations go through DRepTalk. An information action targets 10 November 2026, with a threshold of at least 51 percent. In December 2026 and January 2027 eight information actions follow, with a threshold of at least 60 percent per domain. 2027 is a trial year, with CIP-0179 and a social contract. At 13:50 @Cardano_CF and at 13:38 @IntersectMBO call people to DRepTalk. At 14:19 @NicolasC3rny of the Cardano Foundation and at 14:15 @BaudouinMuv, in a French thread, support the process. No pool-operator reaction was found, and Koios shows no pool-operator votes on these actions.
Koios at 14:25, threshold 67 percent. PFMS, 9.6 million ADA, is at 5.95 percent of DRep yes votes, yesterday 4.69, with 18 yes, 10 no, and 3 abstain. The constitutional committee is 1-0-0. Expiry is epoch 669. AURORA, 0.94 million ADA, is at 2.95 percent, yesterday 1.62, with 12 yes, 30 no, and 7 abstain. The constitutional committee is 0-2-0. Expiry is epoch 669. Copper, 22 million ADA, is at 0.32 percent, the same as yesterday, with 3 yes, 71 no, and 3 abstain. The constitutional committee is 0-2-0. Expiry is epoch 668, 15 November. None of the actions is near the threshold. Weekly 134, with figures as of 22 October, lists Copper at 0.25 percent, AURORA at 0.38 percent, and PFMS at 2.93 percent. That is not the same row as today's Koios. The Crypto Basic, on Copper, cites 32.8 percent voting no and a Governance Hour on 28 October. Weekly and @totofinance put that hour on 27 October.
At 12:09 today the same outlet writes that two constitutional committee members voted against the Copper proposal of 22 million ADA on 22 and 23 October. The reasons it carries: the documents sit on the proponent's site, the recipient account is delegated to abstain and to a pool, there is a single administrator, PwC is not engaged, and the escrow is in ether with a bridge. The break-even they draw from that is $10.06 per pound, against an entry price of $6.73. That is their reading of the proposal. For PFMS, 9.6 million ADA, Trivolve and the Cardano Foundation, the same outlet writes at 09:53 that Uttar Pradesh is running about 11,000 transactions a month and more than 156,000 in total. Trivolve's AMA is today at 15:00. On 27 October at 13:31 @InputEndorsers wrote that PFMS is not a great fit for the taxpayers of the Cardano treasury. @CryptoRichBlog would vote no.
A new information action, State of the Cardano Developer Ecosystem, the 2026 survey, was submitted today at 11:27:09. The Cardano Foundation submitted it. It expires in epoch 671. The deposit is 100,000 ADA. DRep votes are at 0.21 percent, one yes and two abstain. The survey pays nothing out. For 2025 it had 109 respondents, @Cardano_CF writes at 12:09. The Koios identifier is gov_action1wpjynage9uu4rg7rev2g2g2u0spvj5g3fe6lqq286m3dl5tdv47sqhysy4u.
The treasury on Koios still stands at 1,389,274,982 ADA, unchanged from yesterday. The next change is at the transition into epoch 665, on 31 October at 22:44:51. Reserves are 6,039,227,746 ADA. Withdrawals of 32.54 million ADA are pending, the sum of Copper, AURORA, and PFMS. That is a calculation, not an approval. None of those three withdrawals has cleared the threshold.
On SongMarketCap, published 27 October, Input Output showed Blaster: formal verification of contracts in Lean 4, from Plinth, Aiken, and Plutarch to UPLC. The result is valid, falsified, or undetermined. Proof reconstruction is still in development. The same day Sundae Labs published the Gummiworm specification, a layer two with head and coil verification, which is not Hydra code. A test on one node ran about 3,400 transactions per second, with a peak near 4,000. The roadmap has no date. ChatterPay brings staking and DRep delegation to WhatsApp, and the default vote is Abstain. Weekly 134 still holds the poll on the k parameter, from 500 to 1000, closed at 4.77 percent of DReps and 2.06 percent of operators. SweepTreasury returned 115,172 ADA. That is the file, not today's event.
