SweepTreasury returned 115,172 ADA on mainnet, and SPOs dispute the move of k from 500 to 1000

Daily on Cardano
The first SweepTreasury on mainnet returned 115,172 ADA. On 20 and 21 October Intersect returned unused 2025 Product Committee budget to the treasury on the TRSC contract, in two transactions, 55,172 and 60,000 ADA. Weekly #134 of 24 October calls it a first on mainnet. @IntersectMBO shared the post on 24 October at 15:54 (L37/R8/RT8/V1,688). TRSC has four functions: Fund, Disburse, Reorganize, and SweepTreasury. Koios in epoch 663 still holds the treasury at 1,385,672,065 ADA and reserves at 6,048,923,066 ADA. The return is already inside that weekly balance. Three withdrawals worth 32.54 million ADA are pending, and none is near the 67 percent threshold. The NCL left in the 24 October dossier still reads 42,604,371 ADA. A new print after the sweep has not been published.
Reaction and Copper
Pool operators are praising the sweep. On Sunday at 00:11 @BBHMM_Stake writes that unspent funds go back to the treasury by smart contract, on chain, and that this is how it should work. @hix_coffeepool mentions the sweep at 13:16. On 24 October at 18:08 @Lucasdb86 wrote that the full loop is proven on mainnet. At 09:44 @MacCardano proposes a multisig for funded teams. Those are reactions, not a parameter change.
Copper, 22 million ADA, still has 0.21 percent of DRep votes in favor, two yes votes, and the constitutional committee stands at 0-2-0. It expires on 15 November. About 14.72 million ADA of the request goes to buying copper, and copper must rise about 50 percent to break even. That is SongMarketCap on 23 October. @_0xBenjamin at 07:04 (L60/R33/V1,283) repeats that arithmetic. At 23:55 @Lucasdb86 reports that the constitutional committee called Copper unconstitutional. The 0-2-0 votes are on Koios. The reason is his reading, not the text of a decision in this piece.

Dijkstra, Praos2, and the fight over k
The public Dijkstra testnet is still running on protocol 11 with node 11.1.3. The action for a hard fork to protocol 12 will be submitted only when the 11.2 pre-release is out. At 14:10 there is no 11.2 tag. The latest release is 11.1.3 from 29 September. PR #6732, the 11.2 preparation, is still open. So are #6677, #6709, and #6738, in which submit-api is replaced by cardano-rpc. On 20 October the hard-fork working group said a tagged version was expected that week, and that 11.3 was at least two weeks away. Both deadlines were missed. The 11.2 tag is not confirmed as of 25 October 2026. Dijkstra is the next ledger era. The Dijkstra overview dates a hard fork to protocol 12 in the fourth quarter of 2026, with no confirmation today. The DijkstraNet portal does not respond. Weekly #134 still says the network is public on protocol 11. Musashi is live, in the Fire phase, open for testing. That is not a Leios mainnet.
Development is still moving past the tag. In its 23 October report Essential Cardano writes that Praos2, Praos with a Leios overlay, was merged to main, along with LeiosNotify and LeiosFetch. A first version of Hades is out. CIP-0156 and CIP-0168 builtins for Dijkstra are included. Hydra, the layer 2, received a Windows package, but live Cardano connectivity and TLS remain untested. Leios, or Linear Leios, means consensus throughput. Weekly #134 starts at 3 to 5 times today's maximum of 4.5 TxkB/s, if BLS registration covers about 90 to 95 percent of stake. There is no mainnet date.
Pool operators are split on the closed info action that raises k from 500 to 1000. At 13:59 @Straightpool4 (L2/R4/V60) writes that the result is an overwhelming no on every metric, and that 1.91 billion ADA of stake explicitly voted no. At 14:05 @earncoinpool replies that 7.3 billion ADA did not vote, and that not voting is not an explicit no. On 24 October at 12:34 @BKINDSPO (L22/V1,429) wrote that twelve owners together hold a third of staked ADA. Those are his figures, and they are not independently verified. The poll totals themselves diverge. Weekly #134 gives 4.77 percent of DReps and 2.06 percent of SPOs. Koios gives 7.78 and 2.2 percent. A and B are not the same row.
Releases, votes, and the calendar
Dingo v0.88.0 came out on 25 October at 02:07. A slot battle is resolved after k blocks, the mempool rejects oversized transactions, and LSQ and Blockfrost are fixed. That is not a cardano-node release. cardano-cli 11.5.0.0 from 23 October still, alongside the configuration check, asks for DijkstraGenesisFile and its hash. Daedalus 11.6.0 from 24 October still offers a rebuild after a partial Mithril sync. The Dugite conformance corpus came out today at 09:18. That is a test corpus, not a node. Hoskinson, in a SongMarketCap piece today, forecasts Bitcoin at $250,000 in 24 months and says a post-quantum transition for Cardano would take 3 to 5 years, with no hard-fork date. Nightstream would, on that forecast, bring post-quantum proofs without disclosure. A forecast is not a decision.
The DRep DAO platform is finished. The author is Jaromír Tesař, from Fund 14, with a budget of 94,000 ADA. Three of four milestones are done, and 64,000 ADA has been paid. PRIME is voting on the first RFPs through the DRep Council. A model of 50,000 to 100,000 ADA per team was not approved. No new PRIME team list came out today. Yesterday's nine names remain the latest print.
Live state from 14:10 to 14:17, threshold 67 percent. Copper stays at 0.21 percent. AURORA, 940,000 ADA, stays at 1.27 percent, 7 in favor and 28 against. Yesterday it was 7 in favor and 21 against. The constitutional committee is 0-2-0, deadline 20 November. DRep @corroonian voted no on 25 October at 02:09. PFMS, 9.6 million ADA, rises to 4.51 percent from yesterday's 4.39, with 15 in favor and 6 against. Yesterday it was 13 in favor and 4 against. The constitutional committee is 1-0-0, deadline 20 November. Weekly #134, with figures from 22 October, gives 0.25, 0.38, and 2.93 percent. Still unmoved: Fluid since 7 October, Reeve since the 14th, IBC since the 19th, and Orion. Older releases stand: Hydra 2.4.2, Amaru v10.11, Dolos 1.6.2, Mithril 2642.0, Lace 2.4.3, Leios rc-w42. Silent: the 11.2 tag, Leios rc w43, hydra-updates w43 and w44, the guardrails-call recording from 23 October, Members Area, the DijkstraNet portal, and the Network team since 24 June.
In the ecosystem, Lovelace Land is an open-source 3D island. Fabian Bormann presented it on 21 October as a personal initiative, not as a Cardano Foundation product. It has about 160 projects and 70 users. The code is under the MIT license. Genius Yield is winding down. CTO Lars Brünjes released Genius Zero, also MIT, for withdrawing stake and managing DEX orders without the Genius Yield backend. Reward claims still need a co-signature. On 21 October Liqwid said it would reimburse lenders for bad debt from NIGHT liquidations in July and August. Amounts were not published. RealFi sUSDrf is still around $2.7 million, less than a month after 1 October.
Calendar, 14 days, Central European time. On 26 October at 22:44:51 epoch 663 ends, and the same day the deadline for Korean comments expires. 27 October: the hard-fork working group at 15:30, CIP Editors at 17:00, Governance Hour #12 on Copper at 17:30, the PRIME livestream at 18:00, Israeli elections. 28 October, DRep Call at 16:00. 29 October: Members Meeting at 12:00, CIP-113 at 15:00, CAP Review and Light Client at 16:00, the Bitcoin difficulty adjustment around 22:10. 30 October, Dev Office Hours #85 at 16:00. 31 October, Cardano Card shuts down and epoch 664 ends. 1 November, daylight saving ends in the United States. 2 November, UNIC applications. 3 November, US midterm elections. 4 November, the minUTxO RFP. 5 November, the deadline for invitations to the Node Diversity workshop in London on 12 and 13 November, and the end of epoch 665. 6 November, the dashboard poll closes.
